Here are some pictures from the NWKA Annual Club tournament.
It was a great event with virtually the whole club in attendance.
The day got off to a smooth start with 3 Tatamis running simultaneously.
It was a 2 Round Event with Highest total scores declaring the winner.
Each Group had a short break in between rounds while the following groups competed on the mats. I must say that everything went extremly smoothly, with the Karateka paying close attention to the procedings.
Sensei Steve Scott was on the "Diddies" area giving his usual "lesson in Karate Tournaments", giving help and support to what must have been a scary experience for some.
After the Tournament there were some demonstrations.
Various members representing the different age groups within the club gave excellent demonstrations of the expertise within the club. Luke and Alex gave a small demonstration of Karate Jutsu, the more extreme "Self Defence" form of karate.
Then there were the trophy presentation, a steady stream of karateka who excelled within their category, prizes were given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
