Welcome to the North West Karate Academy
We are based in Cheshire / Merseyside and are members of the English Karate Federation ( EKF ) the only governing body that is recognised by the World Karate Federation ( WKF ).
NWKA are the founding members of the Karate Do Federation ( KDF ) along with the Southern Karate Do Federtion ( SKDF ).
Instructors are qualified, Insured and CRB checked.
We are Nationally Recognized by Sport England Club Mark and Local District Councils ( Gold Award ).
We practise both Sport Karate and Karate Jutsu.
Children and adults are taught separately, our attention is spent on fulfilling what your needs are from Karate whether it is self-defence, fitness/health, studying an art form or competitions. So whether you are 6yrs or 60yrs there is something to gain from this Martial Art / Sport.
The academy has won thousands of medals from grass roots level to International level and has produced official British and all England champions in both Kata and Kumite disciplines in team and individual events.
Student/instructors have represented the official England Karate Team at Commonwealth, European and World Championships level. However, there are no pressures to compete as only a handful of students compete. The academy has also produced hundreds of Dan grades ( black belts ).
